Tullamarine Airport with EOS 80D

After purchasing a Canon EOS 80D (upgrading from the EOS 1300D/Rebel T6), I decided to put the camera to the test in an unfamiliar environment at Tullamarine International Airport in Melbourne, Australia. All images in this project were taken through my 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM II and were adjusted in Adobe Lightroom.

2017

For those that wish to know, images were taken from Operations Road below the North/South at the Golf Drive turnoff.

Takeoff! ISO-100, f/11, 1/400th at -0.7 EC @176mm with my 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM II.

Looks like this one needs a wash! No metadata on this one as I didn't realize I was shooting JPEG! Was the first takeoff of the morning.

Condensation forms upon the trailing edge of the wing. ISO-320, f/11 at 1/400th, -0.7 EC at 100mm.

Close and personal with this one! ISO-320, f/11, 1/500th at 300mm.

Same as the latter, but from a different perspective. Departing eastbound toward the city. ISO-320, f/11, 1/500th at 267mm.

Tyabb Airshow 2020

In March of 2020, the Pensinsula Aero Club of Tyabb Airport (YTYA) hosted the Tyabb 2020 Airshow. The airshow featured the main attractions of the F4U-5N Corsair VH-III and CAC-18 Mustang VH-SVU in addition to other main acts including the RAAF Roulettes, Paul Bennett Sky Aces and RAAF Point Cook Trainer Flight.

Cowra Nature Reserve

A collection of photographs I took in the Japanese nature reserve in Cowra, regional NSW in July 2017. Taken on my 1300D with either my 10-18mm f/4-5.6 IS STM or 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM II. My photographs cannot to the place justice!

Swan Hill Bridge

Here is a collection of a few images of the historic Allan truss lift bridge of Swan Hill, which is one of the only two situated along the Murray River. Designed by Percy Allan of Sydney and built by Victorian company Farquharson in 1896, the bridge demonstrated a sophisticated design in form of the Allan trusses and the ability to lift part of the bridge to allow watercraft to pass below. The second operational example on the river is located around 40 kilometers downstream at Tooleybuc.

Great Ocean Road

Here are a series of images captured along the picturesque Victorian coastline between Port Campbell and Petersborough and surrounds, commonly known as the Great Ocean Road.

Temora Aviation Museum

Various images from my trip to the Temora Aviation Museum in Temora, NSW in July 2017. Photographs shown here were taken with my 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS STM II, which performed flawlessly for it's first trial since I purchased it. Shot on my Canon EOS 1300D.

Upon moving to Geelong in February 2019, I decided to go on a roadtrip along the coast to see the best beaches Victoria has to offer. This album includes images from Queenscliff, Ocean Grove, and Barwon Heads. Shot on 80D.

Waterfalls of the Great Otway Ranges

Between the 22-26th of June 2019, I travelled between Airley's Inlet travelling all the way through to Mount Gambier following the beautiful Australian coastline, camping out in a swag each night. Here's some of the photos from the Great Otway National Park - the other photos will be in other sections of this website.
